Patient Update: Nurse Appointments
Due to staff sickness and planned leave, we currently have only one Healthcare Assistant available. As a HCA is not able to provide the full range of appointments, treatments and vaccinations undertaken by the practice nurses, the number and type of appointments we offer are temporarily limited.
Please bear this in mind when contacting our reception team. They will offer the most appropriate appointment currently available, but they cannot create additional appointments or book procedures with a member of staff who is not qualified to carry them out.
Where appropriate, patients may be offered an appointment at our Primary Care Network hub. This is a local service shared by several local GP practices who work collaboratively and provide additional appointments with suitably qualified healthcare professionals. The appointment will take place at Jesmond Health Partnership in Jesmond.
Some routine appointments may need to be booked further ahead or rearranged until our nursing capacity improves.
If you are unable to attend appointment, please cancel it as soon as possible so it can be offered to another patient.
We appreciate that delays can be frustrating and thank you for your patience and understanding. Please treat our reception staff with kindness and respect while they work within limited appointments available.
