Regular exercise is one of the best things we can do to stay healthy. The more we move, the more strength and reserves we build up – helping us stay well longer and recover more quickly if we get ill.

But getting active isn’t just good for your body – it can lift your mood, ease stress, and help you feel more connected too.

As a Social Prescribing team working with patients across Gosforth and Jesmond, we’re strong advocates for movement – especially when it comes to building resilience, staying independent, and combatting frailty as we age.

To help you, we’ve put together a selection of local exercise classes and groups that we know and recommend.

You can scroll through to browse everything or use the buttons below to jump to anything that catches your eye.
